Since early the 2000's, Cincinnati Public Schools have removed music and art education from most of the high schools. The Cincinnati Music and Arts Program has been expanding the use of music and art as a teaching strategy to increase students’ motivation to learn, community problem solving skills, and readiness for careers and post-secondary education; and engaging young people in music-art activities that address community needs in order to build healthier communities.
